The 16 Care Certificate standards
The Care Certificate standards were updated in March 2025. These are the 16 official subject areas, presented here as a learning-framework guide rather than 16 separate certificates.
One programme. Sixteen standards.
The published Phronesis Care Certificate course can be opened below. Its coverage of the updated 2025 framework and workplace competence assessment must be confirmed before it is described as a fully completed Care Certificate pathway.
Knowledge + workplace assessment
Completing online theory alone is not sufficient to demonstrate every Care Certificate standard. Employers and competent assessors are responsible for assessing knowledge and work-based practice.

Additional care-related professional development
Some topics have related learning in our current catalogue. Others are proposed for development. An existing course that introduces a topic is not necessarily a complete standalone qualification in that subject.

Included as a topic in the existing Care Certificate
Medication Awareness
Future standalone module; current buccal-route course is narrower
Let's build the right training plan.
Tell us the topics you need, the number of learners, your preferred location and whether you are looking for online knowledge or assessed practical training. We’ll explain what can currently be arranged and what is still in development.
