How our current course prices work
Online course fees
Our online learning system is currently configured in US dollars (USD), not British pounds (GBP). Prices displayed in the online course catalogue are USD amounts. Your card provider may apply exchange rates or international transaction fees.
The amount shown for an existing course should be reviewed at checkout before payment. We are reviewing the Academy’s UK-facing pricing structure, so do not assume a dollar figure is a pound figure.
Practical classroom training
Some classroom and practical subjects currently accept expressions of interest only. Where a session is not confirmed, no final price, date, trainer or certification outcome is promised.
A confirmed training booking should state the course content, venue, attendance requirements, practical assessment arrangements, full fee and cancellation terms before payment.
Understand the type of certificate
Academy course completion
Where enabled in a course, a Phronesis Global Academy certificate or completion record confirms that the learner completed the Academy’s specified learning activity. It does not automatically show that workplace skills were observed or signed off.
Externally accredited qualifications
A course should only be described as accredited or regulated where the awarding organisation, approved centre arrangements, qualification title and assessment requirements have been verified. An Academy-branded certificate is not automatically an Ofqual-regulated award.
Care Certificate standards
The 2025 Care Certificate contains 16 standards and requires appropriate knowledge and workplace-practice assessment. Completing an online knowledge course alone does not prove full achievement of the Care Certificate.
Clinical and practical skills
Learning about CPR, medication support, observations or phlebotomy is different from being authorised to perform these tasks. Competence, supervision and employer approval depend on the role and task, and some training requires hands-on assessment or specialist clinical governance.
